Second opinion
When you or someone you love face a serious, even life-threatening medical condition, you can feel confused, unsure and vulnerable. You may lose your confidence in yourself and even in the medical professionals around you. Consider the following questions:
Are you absolutely sure about your diagnosis? (Doctors are only human, you know... They too can make mistakes…)
Do you have complete confidence in your physicians?
Do you fully understand your diagnosis, your treatment, and your doctor's explanations? Do you feel sufficiently informed and able to make the best decisions at this critical crossroads in your life?
Are you certain that the course of treatment proposed by your doctor is the only option? Are you absolutely sure that this is the best answer to your illness?
Do you feel uncertain about impending surgery or any other major medical procedure recommended by your doctor?
If the answer to all or any of the above is NO, stop right now!
Before proceeding any further with your treatment,
ASK FOR A SECOND OPINION!
No one wants to be seriously ill!
But once you have received the bad news, when your life and wellbeing may depend on making the right decisions, you have to be sure. Absolutely sure!
In fact, it is now well known that your peace of mind, your sense of hope and confidence, your faith in your doctors and course of treatment, are critical for your recovery!
This is where a second opinion comes in – providing you with the most reliable advice from the most knowledgeable and experienced experts who have successfully treated others in your condition.
A second opinion means a reassuring personal dialog with top medical professionals who can give you comprehensive information, propose new options for treatment, or even turn around your entire diagnosis!
When your life or wellbeing depends on making the right decisions, your peace of mind depends on getting the best, most reliable advice!
All this is doubly true when your child is ill!
Our children are our greatest treasure, and we are responsible for their lives and their health! When your child is seriously ill, when you see your helpless little one in pain, it breaks your heart. You will do anything to help your child, relieve the pain and make her/him well again! And you know that the decisions you make now on your child's behalf will affect the person you love most in the world for the rest of his/her life! But how can you be sure?
A second opinion from leading experts can help you make the right choices and give the assurance that you have done everything that can be done for your sick child!
A second opinion will ease you mind and allow you to put all your emotional energy into caring for your child at this difficult time, when she/he needs you most!
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with a serious medical condition, a second medical opinion from world-class specialists can…
- Save your life
- Save your child
- Save you from permanent disability
- Save you pain, discomfort, and unnecessary procedures
Surveys conducted by world-leading medical institutions have produced alarming results:

- 88% of second opinions result in major changes in diagnosis and treatment (Mayo Clinic);
- In 55% of cases second opinions prevent unnecessary procedures;
- Up to 28% of diagnostic mistakes can result in death or permanent disability;
- Up to 250,000 people in the U.S. die each year from medical mistakes – which makes errors the third leading cause of death (Johns Hopkins).
- Overmedication is expected to cause up to 150,000 deaths and 4.6m hospitalizations per decade in the U.S. (Lown Institute)

Could there be Errors in MRI or CT Scans Interpretation?
According to various studies carried out in the U.S.A and according to senior medical specialists, there is a 30% chance of committing errors while interpreting MRI or CT scans results, thus the interpretation of radiological scans is not strictly accurate.
A general radiologist cannot have an expertise in all fields of radiology and unfortunately, it may lead to erroneous or delayed diagnoses. Please take responsibility of your health. One cannot trust the interpretation of CT or MRI scans due to the relatively high percentage of errors.
Thus, in some cases, it is critical that a radiologist with the relevant sub-specialty examines and interprets MRI, CT or US scans.
Radiologists do not only interpret MRI results, they also interpret results of other advanced tests such as CT, US and the likes. They are highly knowledgeable professionals who are aware of the grave responsibility they take upon themselves – nevertheless, they do not always manage to provide an error-free interpretation.
The reason for that is shortage of professionals. There is a global shortage of specialist radiologists with sub-specialties and those radiologists who work at various hospitals and medical institutions are under tremendous time pressure since they are expected to interpret dozens, and sometimes even hundreds of tests every day. Naturally, time pressure leads to errors – and the price the patients might pay is extremely high. Interpretation of CT or MRI scans is normally done by a general radiologist in the hospital and not by a specialist who has a relevant sub-specialty. The patients usually have to wait more than two weeks for their tests to be interpreted.
MRI or CT scans interpretation done privately is performed by a senior radiologist who, in addition to the long basic training in radiology, pursued sub-specialties and gained additional precious knowledge and experience which enable him to understand the significance of all the findings presented by the imaging machine.
Obviously, unlike radiologists who work in hospitals and medical institutions and perform their work under time pressure, interpreting dozens of tests every day, privately hired specialist radiologists with sub-specialties who examine CT or MRI findings are able to pay their full attention to the test at hand which diminishes the chance of errors caused by time pressure.
Timing matters – private test interpretation is completed within 72 hours.
Erroneous interpretation of MRI or CT scans might lead to two highly dangerous scenarios:
- Identification of normal findings as abnormal - healthy people who are told they are sick and, as a result, undergo unnecessary treatments and take unnecessary medications which risk their life.
- Sick people who are incorrectly identified as healthy, which prevents them from getting necessary treatments and worsens their condition.
